Raptors at Rockets: Prediction, point spread, odds, over/under, betting picks

If you are looking to do some last-minute betting research, you are in luck because the Houston Rockets will play their first game after the NBA trade deadline in 2022. We have the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as all the information you need to make the best bets.

The game tips off at 7 pm. The NBA League Pass and AT&T SportsNet Southwest can be used to view it.

The Raptors enter with seven straight wins and the last-place Rockets have lost seven of their last eight games. Toronto is on the second night of a road back-to-back, which may help to mitigate the gap, but Houston will be rested and playing at home.

If either team makes a meaningful transaction at Thursday’s deadline, there will be more randomness than normal since there will not be an opportunity for any newly acquired players to play.

Veteran Eric Gordon and Christian Wood remain on the roster as of early Thursday. Both are discussed in rumors.

When asked about the distraction surrounding the NBA trade deadline on Thursday, Christian Wood said he was just happy to be here.

Garuba could be out for up to eight weeks with a left wrist injury, according to the injury report. Due to the majority of the team being healthy, two-way players Daishen Nix and Trevelin Queen remain in the G League. Eric Gordon is questionable after missing the last two games.

Eric Gordon is not sure if he will be available for tomorrow night’s game against Toronto.

Mark Berman is on Fox 26.

Since they are on the second night of a back-to-back, the Raptors won’t issue their injury report until hours before the game. Goran Dragic is not with the team, Issac Bonga is in the G League on assignment, and David Johnson is in the G League on a two-way contract.

It is possible that head coach Nick Nurse could reduce minutes for some veteran players, given that it is night two of a back-to-back in different cities.

Excellent Lineups.

Raptors -7.5 is the point spread.
Money line: Raptors -410.
The over-under was 224.5.

Among players who appear certain to be on the roster and play, expect rookies Scottie Barnes and Jalen Green to come out firing.

Green has two of his best scoring games of the season against his fellow top picks. It would be a nice birthday gift for Green, who turned 20 years old Wednesday, if the Rockets followed that template against Barnes and the Raptors.

It feels like a bridge too far to pick the Astros to win the title. Given that Toronto is likely to have tired legs on the road, and that Green will hit the over on his personal scoring prop, we will take them to cover the large spread number. If Wood and Gordon are traded, it will open up even more shot attempts for players like Green.

Green scores 20 points.
